b4td1Day by day as we witness new wars, this poem asks a few questions and asks you to remember that "War is the first step for the barbaric, and the last for the civilized."

andawnsjpgDuring the early seventies, the threat of nuclear war was an excepted reality. When I left school and joined the military, I honestly believed that a holocaust was inevitable. 'A new day dawning' was the first time I used verse to express my fears, I had just turned sixteen at the time.

Well, it's always best to look at things from every side.

Visions

Many years ago, I was caught in a military conflict, in which I received an injury. As I lay in my hospital bed, I had time to think things through, and like many before me, I realized that love & peace where much healthier philosophies than war and strife. This poem originated from that soul searching time.
