This section is devoted to those who want to write for children. This is a huge market, but it is not necessarily the easiest one. Children can be very discerning about their reading, and publishers presume to know exactly what it is their little clients want.

Canadian Children's Book Centre  A national, non-profit organization to promote and encourage the reading, writing and illustrating of Canadian children's books by supporting the Canadian children's publishing industry.

Children's Books Center A wealth of information on children's books, research sources (such as fairy dictionaries), illustration, and where to find children's literature.

The children's Book Council is an absolutely must go to site for anyone interested in writing for children.  I couldn't do it the justice it deserves with just a short description.

The Internet Writing Workshop Includes YAWrite, an open online critique group for all children’s writers.

The Purple Crayon is a children's book editor's site with links to resources of interest especially to writers, editors, teachers, parents, and librarians.

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators is a Professional organization dedicated to serving the people who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children’s literature.

Vandergrift's Children's Literature Page This website is a means of sharing ideas and information with all those interested in literature for children and young adults.
